Biv, thanks for the comment. Friends and other outside influences really can hurt a relationship that's trying to be rebuilt. I'm sure being a celebrity doesn't help the situation. But it does take a willing attitude from both parties to make things right.

First I'd like to say good post Theo. Now for my comment.

Leverage...yes, I personally know about leverage in a relationship. It's a difficult thing to deal with especially when you're on the losing end of the leverage bar.

Whatever the reason may be for an individual to be at a deficit, it will take time, love, and commitment from both individuals to get past whatever act(s) caused a rift in the relationship. This is hard work, but can be well worth the effort if love is actually something shared between companions.

Love is definitely a figment of what seems to be most people's imagination. Love is and isn't instant gratification, and it definitely is a life-long process and commitment. Some people leave for two reasons: either they don't care or they are in fear of how the future will turn out with that person that hurt them.

Combine that with the opinions of others (ie. friends, family, etc.). Opinions that sometimes inject negative thoughts and heightened feelings into the heart and mind of those who have been hurt, and no doubt you have a nasty road ahead of you. A journey that will require tremendous healing, and the robust effort of rebuilding trust.

But the interesting thing is the media will continue to cover her stories. It's all about ratings and dollars. Who else could make $1 million after getting out of jail.

I have to agree. I fall into the money trap every now and then but God gives me a way to get out. He'll put someone in my path who is in need of something by allowing me to be a blessing to someone else. There are times when I've passed, but there's also been times when I've failed. Giving and helping others is the best way to combat greed.

Hi Theo, you've put some hefty ideas in today's context. Nice work.

My thought is that we are the one's embracing the world when we embrace the "love for money." If money drives everything we do, that is really our god. I fear in the U.S. today, it really has come to the place where too many have insatiable greed. We are the ones who make these money choices though we might want to shift some of the blame to Satan.
